Affiliate Disclosure
Mount Etna Tours is an independent, affiliate-supported guide to visiting Mount Etna. This page explains how we make money, what that means for our editorial choices, and how we try to keep them separate.
1. The short version
When you click a "Check Availability" or "Book" link on this site and complete a booking on GetYourGuide, we receive a small commission from GetYourGuide. The price you pay is the same — there is no markup. Your booking is with GetYourGuide and the local tour operator; we are not party to it.
2. Our partner
Mount Etna Tours is a GetYourGuide affiliate partner (partner ID 1MSALBX). All bookable tours featured on this site are listed and operated through GetYourGuide. We do not run any tours ourselves and do not handle payments.
3. Editorial independence
We choose which tours to feature, and how to describe them, based on our own research and on traveller reviews — not on commission rates. We have featured tours from multiple providers (Sicilying S.R.L., Visit Etna sud, Etna Touring, Noema Viaggi, Etna Experience and others) and we surface honest practical detail, including who a tour is not suitable for, on the page. Our review counts come directly from GetYourGuide's public listing data and are rounded down with a "+" symbol so they remain accurate for months at a time.
If a tour has a known limitation — under-6 age restriction, no wheelchair access, "not suitable for back / heart / blood-pressure conditions", weather-dependent operation — we surface it in the body of the page, not in fine print.
4. FTC compliance
This disclosure is published in accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission's "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising" (16 CFR Part 255). It also aligns with the UK Competition and Markets Authority and Advertising Standards Authority guidance on affiliate content disclosure.
5. What we don't do
We do not accept paid placements, sponsored content, or "pay to feature" arrangements with any tour operator. We do not run display advertising. We do not collect or sell your personal data — see our privacy policy for detail.
6. Refunds and disputes
Refund and cancellation policies are set by GetYourGuide and the individual tour operator. The tours we feature offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. If you have a problem with a booking, contact GetYourGuide customer support directly — we do not have access to your booking.
